This weekend was all about Black Women empowering, enlightening, uplifting, motivating and supporting each other as celebs gather into the Paradise Theater in the Bronx for the Black Girls Rock Awards. Founded by Celebrity DJ Beverly Bond, the Award show was created to honor women of color who are role models and a source of inspiration in their communities. The night’s honorees included
Taraji P. Henson, gospel great Shirley Caesar, Tatyana Ali, political activist Angela Davis, WNBA president Laurel J. Richie, and Imani Walker & Malika Saada Saar, co-founders of Rebecca Project for Human Rights.
The show was hosted by actresses Regina King and Tracee Ellis Ross who were a true indication that
we get better with age. They looked amazing!
