New 5 track EP from Trey Songz/ Pictures from "Treys Angels" Benefit Concert

Trey Songz has been giving back in a major way!
On Friday night, Trey performed a benefit concert for “Trey’s Angels” at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The one night only, event could be viewed by fans across the world online for just $5 bucks with proceeds going towards his Angels with Hearts Foundation. Before the show, Trey sat down with Essence.com and chatted about the importance of giving back to his fans through his foundation.
Check out an excerpt from the interview, plus pics and video from the concert below:
On what made him decide to start the charity
I have “Trey’s Angels” who are my fan club and when I was on tour my fans were giving me a lot of gifts. I had the idea to have them to channel that [giving] toward people that need it. So, I did a video clip on my iPhone and I asked my Angels to donate to people in their area and commit random acts of kindness in their community. The feedback that I got was amazing. They would send videos back with them at homeless shelters, feeding the elderly, tutoring kids. It made me realize what power I had that could be used for good.
On if his charity will be focused on helping those in his hometown or across the country
We’ll be everywhere. I’m planning to use it worldwide, actually. I’ve been to Australia, Europe, Africa and that was just this year. I do believe that charity starts at home and that’s where my first organized event was held—in Petersburg, Virginia. We helped children get free haircuts, little girls get their hair done, and we fed about 300 to 500 people. In my video, “Top of the World,” we showcased a lot of what was happening during that time.
On Why He decided to make the concert viewable online
I have so many fans who don’t live in New York and I want to be able to help them witness the show. Furthermore, it’s a cheap ticket price (just $5) and the money goes to a great cause.

Following up on his 2009 release "Ready" and 2010's " Passion, Pain & Pleasure" Trey Songz exhibits why he's one of the best and youngest R&B artists out there again with his E.P. "Inevitable." It's arguably one of the most quality productions he's put out, much attributed to the fact that there's only five songs on it. All of the mediocre songs get cut out, and only the cream of the crop are in this batch of "Songz." (Pun intended). "What I Be On," which features the rapper Fabolous is a swaggered-down, braggadocios hip-hop track that sounds like a musical cousin of Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now." But the song before it, "Top of the World," is a borderline depressing ode to his home state of Virginia that sounds like a lost Drake track, even down to the emo rap verse that Trey performs. But the best material of course, is the sexually-charged material, particularly "Outside (Pt. 1)," an ode to public exhibitionism, particularly outdoor lovemaking: "I don't want nobody more than you, just want your body on this mornin' dew/I get these covers layin' right for us, ain't nobody lookin,' it's just Mother Nature watchin' us," he sings. The best song is arguably the last one though, "Sex Ain't Better Than Love," a mid-tempo ballad where Trey sings about how he's learned that sex can be empty if its not with someone you care about and that real love is made through the heart. (Figuratively speaking, of course.)
Ultimately a solid album, and one that every Trey fan, and R&B fan should add to their collection.

3.5 out of 5 hearts

RIHANNA CREATES HER OWN FASHION COLLECTION WITH EMPORIO ARMANI

On the heels of dropping her sixth studio album ‘Talk That Talk‘ Rihanna managed to find time to work on a collection to include biker jackets, a canvas rucksack, two styles of jeans (skinny and tight boy cut of course), t-shirts branded with silhouettes of Rihanna’s face (or animal print designs) and lace underwear available in navy blue and pearl grey…for those with more conservative taste.
Rihanna is notorious for her eye catching fashion sense and according to skynews.com she previously revealed that she actually enjoys shocking people with her fashion choices.
When asked where she may take her look in the future, she stated;
“I probably see a lot of menswear, or something extremely, extremely feminine. But I like to play with both. It would have to be so extreme that it’s a look, because I don’t usually like typical ladylike, girly-girly stuff. It would be a look if I were to do it. I always like something that’s a little off, so it’s just not typical or expected.”

Would you wear Rihanna’s fashions?

Although I am a HUGE Rihanna fan I am not feeling her sixth cd, I may like 2 songs off of the album which is "we found love' & "talk that talk"

New Video: Birdman f/ Nicki Minaj & Lil Wayne – "Y U Mad"

‘Had the game on lock and gave the key to Nicki’ – Wayne Baby, Wayne and Nicki give fans a classic Cash Money video complete with scenes featuring money stacks for breakfast, lavish Maybach rides and plenty of swimsuit models in their latest visual for ‘Y U Mad’.
While Birdman keeps it gangster (and steps his wardrobe up) in the video, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj show off their silly personalities. Wayne dorks out in a pair of Wayfarers, a ridiculous backpack and a huge, fuzzy, red hat while Nicki butches it up dressed as the female Weezy. She dons a pair of Adidas Jeremy Scott Panda Bear shoes and crazy blonde dreads but she doesn’t keep the guy gear on for the entire video. She re-ups in a strappy, white bathing suit while in a press conference scene with about 50 golden mics. Through visuals she wants us to know that ‘she’s winning but she’s still bored’ and that’s ‘Y U Mad’.

Basketball Wives Shaunie O’Neal And Tami Dish On New Cast Members

Basketball Wives star Shaunie O’Neal and Tami Roman are dishing on their two new cast members, but from the sounds of things, it didn’t go very well. Tami Roman confirmed they filmed in New York for five weeks before returning to Miami. Which may explain why Jennifer Williams had been spotted several times in NYC.
Tami also confirmed two additional women have joined the cast and as if reading the minds of many viewers, Tami added, “I’m still surprised at how many people just wanna come into this situation. They should know by now we are not wrapped to tight. But they still keep coming.”
Shaunie offered her apologies ahead of time stating the new cast members have no idea they’re walking into the danger zone.
After what happened with Meeka Claxton, it is quite surprising that any sane person would jump at this opportunity.

Im just shocked that the name of the show is STILL called "Basketball Wives" none of the ladies are married but I guess wives is a better name than Girlfriends or Babymommas or Exes, Right...??? Lol will you be watching the 4th season?

Beyonce’s “Dance For You” video has premiered, and it features a lot of the sensual dance moves Beyonce fans may have been waiting for.
In a scene similar to a 1940s film noir, King B sashays into a private detective’s office, takes off her trench coat and shows him things he’s never seen before. This video is five straight minutes of sexy choreography and signature beauty shots showing Beyonce once again raise the bar on sexuality. Now, every woman in America will be attempting to learn this chair dance to please her man. I’ve already got the beginning down.

Mary J. Blige’s My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act 1) is currently in stores and has shaped up to be a solid release. She recruited a lot of top-billed artists to collaborate with her on the project, but the most unusual name out of the pack belongs to actress Taraji P. Henson. Last month, Taraji revealed that she had signed a record deal while on the red carpet of Black Girls Rock, but who knew she could rap? On the track “Get it Right,” Taraji shows off her skills in a short verse about a guy who didn’t know how to keep her:
“He be playin’ with my head. Inception.
Talkin’ ’bout he lovin’ me, but I ain’t feelin’ it.
You’s a bad joke. Yeah the crowd done spoke.
So Imma fall back in the rear. Coach.
Woo! I gave him everything he needed. Ooh!
But now his phone number’s been deleted.
You couldn’t get this right,
and I’m bookin’ the next train up outta yo’ life. “

Celebrities Pay Respect At Heavy D’s Funeral, President Obama Sends A Letter

In a touching service just one week after Heavy D died of pneumonia, the rapper was laid to rest in Mount Vernon, New York, at Grace Baptist Church. Many friends, fans, and colleagues of Heavy D have reached out to give their condolences to the family, including President Obama who wrote a note for Xea Myers, Heavy D’s 11-year-old daughter. Rev. Al Sharpton delivered the message from the President in which he was instructed to read directly to Xea, saying:
“We extend our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. He will be remembered for his infectious optimism and many contributions to American music. Please know that you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.”
Xea also spoke about her father, and in a brave speech in front of the church she said that she knew her dad “was still here, not in the flesh, but in the spirit.”  Johnny Gill, Salt (of Salt-N-Pepa) and Usher also shared some words as well as Diddy who reminisced on how Heavy D helped him get his start in the music industry.
He became my friend. He became my brother, and I’m not talking about friend-brother like we cavalierly use the word, I’m talking about a real friend, a real brother. Somebody I shared my dreams and my secrets with, somebody that’s been there for me at my lowest point, my darkest hour when nobody wanted to be beside me.
May he rest in peace
