Patti LaBelle Sued For Allegedly Assaulting A Mother And Her Baby

R&B singer Patti LaBelle is facing a lawsuit accusing her of a assaulting a mother and her then 18-month old baby. The suit was filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday by Kevin and Roseanna Monk. According to NY Daily News, the Monks attorney Sam Davis said LaBelle went into a rage after 18-month old Genevieve was playing around the lobby of a Riverside Blvd apartment building on the Upper West Side. Reportedly Patti who was on her way out dressed in oversize shades and fur coat began yelling at the mother, “What are you doing letting your kid run around like that?”
The incident escalated according to Davis when Patti started, “screaming at my client, throwing water from a bottle at the mother’s face and the baby’s face.”
Roseanna Monk responded, “‘Are you happy that this is what you have done to this baby?!’”
If things couldn’t get any worse, Patti allegedly “tries to take a swing” at Roseanna.
This is LaBelle’s second lawsuit in 6 months. In June a West Point cadet filed a civil suit against Patti LaBelle after he was allegedly assaulted by her bodyguards at Bush Intercontinental Airport.
The Monks and Sam Davis are using the aforementioned lawsuit as the basis for their lawsuit. Davis added,
“Violence seems to be part of their road show.”
What do you think, is Patti LaBelle a losing her cool?
